Things to Do

We are so excited for you to join us in celebrating our wedding. We can't wait to share this beautiful state we live in. Colorado has something for everyone, but its greatest feature has to be the mountains. Below please find a list of activities you may enjoy, but also feel free to reach out to us for additional ideas!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Red Rocks Amphitheater:

Red Rocks is known for memorable concerts and is a great place to visit when you have a couple hours to spare. Just outside of Littleton, the Red Rocks provide a unique view of the downtown skyline, great hiking, a museum and shop. If you feel like you are acclimated to the altitude you can hike from the lower parking lot to the amphitheater or drive to the top and take in the scenery without all the effort. Many people go to Red Rocks each day for their regular work out. You’ll see the die-hards at play. Red Rocks is also just minutes from the small town of Morrison, Colorado which is definitely worth a visit. The Blue Cow diner has incredible ice cream.

Golden, Colorado:

Just 20 minutes from downtown Littleton, Golden sits in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and is home to the Coors Brewery, Western Themed stores, the Colorado School of Mines and tons of food spots. This could be a quick visit or consume your entire day. From here you can take a 30 minute drive to Boulder, Colorado (home of Coach Prime), Blackhawk (historic Gambling Town) or Lookout Mountain.

Arrowhead Golf Course:

If you are a golfer you will regret missing out on this incredible course after you sit through our wedding ceremony that overlooks hole number 1. If you have 4-6 hours to spare you might try to book a round of golf. They accommodate out of town guests with golf club rentals.

Guanella Pass and Georgetown:

Guanella Pass is a 22- mile high mountain pass that connects US 285 and I-70. I would make a day of this starting in Littleton and heading to Grant, Colorado. Once you traverse this scenic pass you end up in the Victorian Mining Town of Georgetown, Colorado. In Georgetown you can take a mining tour, take the Georgetown Loop Railroad, or shop/tour the wonderful Victorian Town.

DAM! The Denver Art Museum

This five-floor museum is wonderfully diverse and is at the forefront of offering new exhibits. This museum houses one of the largest art collections between Kansas City and the West Coast. It's Native American art collection, which encompasses an entire floor, is not to be missed. This building is right across the street from Colorado’s State Capital with its shining gold dome.

St. Mary’s Glacier:

This is a favorite for us. St. Mary’s has snow year round and is a fun hike (1.6 mile hike). The hike is short but steep, so make sure to bring some water and take your time! The location is 36 minutes outside of Denver near Idaho Springs, Colorado. And after you’ve “worked out", go enjoy some famous Beau Jo’s Pizza and some Tommy Knockers.
